We devote time and attention to you, and we boast an individual approach throughout the treatment process. Our services are based on trust, respect, and interpersonal relations. We remain in contact with you even after your treatment is completed.
The patient is guided through the entire treatment process by their personal coordinator, or patient manager, assigned to them before the initial consultation.
The personal coordinator will help the patient with the administration and all the formalities necessary to start proton therapy, and answer all their questions regarding the planning of the examination and the course of the treatment itself.
If the patient wishes, the personal coordinator can also accompany them to examinations and arrange appointments with doctors, and is always available to the patient.
In healthcare facilities, it is not always customary for the patient to be attended to by the same doctor who always has enough time for the patient throughout the treatment.
At the Proton Center, we pride ourselves on the fact that each patient has a single attending physician starting from the initial consultation until the end of treatment. We take great care to ensure that the doctor always has enough time for their patients, can pay attention to them, can willingly listen to them and explain how proton therapy works and what its alternatives are.
Our doctors have years of experience in radiation treatments, both in the proton radiation therapy offered at the Proton Center as well as in conventional photon therapy. Our doctors are the only specialists in the Czech Republic who have this experience. Therefore, they are the only ones who can objectively and professionally answer the patient’s questions regarding different radiation modalities, their benefits and side effects. They will help choose the most optimal method of treatment for each patient.
In order to make the right decision, you need to have sufficient information about your disease as well as the benefits and possible risks of not only proton therapy but also other available therapeutic methods.
Make an appointment at the Proton Center for an initial consultation. We will find you a date for the consultation within 5 to 7 working days. Our doctors will give you maximum attention.
We offer children and their parents the opportunity to use a children’s room full of toys while waiting for examinations or treatment.
Patients and their family members are offered the option of using a relaxation room. You will have complete privacy for rest and relaxation there. The room is equipped with a telephone, TV, Wi-Fi connection, coffee maker, and a minibar.
In the reception area, you can buy minor refreshments, coffee, tea and various types of other beverages. We are happy to make hot cocoa for children. Water is available at the bar all day for free.
The receptionists at the information desk will provide you with the login details and password for the PTC Wi-Fi network.
There is also a choice of daily newspapers for you at the main reception.
Through the Proton Therapy Endowment Fund, we organise regular patient meetings at the PTC premises, where you can meet our former patients and share their experiences.
