Proton therapy is covered by all health insurance companies in the Czech Republic.
In the Proton Center, we use a revolutionary technology called Pencil Beam Scanning (PBS). This enables precise targeting and distribution of the proton beam dose. Pencil beam scanning irradiates the target area (tumour) with millimetre precision and minimal damage to surrounding healthy tissues and organs. It thus increases patients’ chance of recovery and a good quality of life after treatment. Treatment outcomes achieved by the Proton Center team have in the long term ranked us at the leading edge among proton centres.

At the Proton Center, we focus on the treatment of patients with such types of cancer for which proton radiotherapy is a globally recognised and recommended treatment.
The Proton Therapy Center also features a cutting-edge Department of Diagnostic Radiology as well as a Department of Nuclear Medicine. Besides their actual treatment patients may also undergo certain diagnostic tests such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography in combination with computer tomography (PET/CT).
